Sprouted Moong Salad

 
 

Simple, tasty and so wholesome, this easy sprouts salad will never let you down!


Serves: 4


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups or 200g moong bean sprouts (see recipe here for how to make)

  • 1 cup or 100g finely chopped cucumber

  • 1 cup or 100g finely chopped tomato

  • 1 cup or 60g pomegranate seeds

  • 1 medium or 60 g onion chopped

  • 1 small green chilli chopped

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)

  • 30 ml or 2 - 3 tbsp water

  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt

  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala

  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seed powder


Method

  1. With 30 ml water, steam the sprouts in a wok, covered, for 3-5 minutes.

  2. Let it cool and add the finely chopped cucumber, tomato, chilli and onion. Add all the seasonings above and add the pomegranate seeds. Mix well and serve!


Helpful Tips

  • You can adjust the seasonings as per your taste.

  • Steaming the sprouts a little helps in easier digestion.

  • You can serve it as a hot or cold salad. If serving hot, add all the vegetables and seasonings to the steamed moong bean sprouts when hot.
